Unbelievable

We officially have a piss-poor team down here in Austin. I know Mack would never do this (and I know you should probably never do this), but I'm finding it very hard for any of the coaches to find a way to take blame for this loss. I can't tell you one single player out there who looked and performed like he wanted to be out there. Not one. Our players are overrated (how many more times am I going to say that this year??) and are still waiting on teams to roll over for them.

I said all along that Texas would lose 2-3 games this year - and even after last week, I still think we were going to lose at Kansas State. Now? We'll lose to Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Aggies will be a toss up. Just mail it in this year Texas fans, this is a really, really bad team and they aren't going to get much better. We're now 7 games into the season and this is what we have. Personally, I'm starting to search hard for any ounce of optimism heading into next season.

Look, let's be honest, Texas just went through two consecutive quarterbacks who are arguably some of the better QBs in college football history, much less in Texas history. At some point our string of superstars was going to run out. I still like Gilbert a lot, but he really came up small today. I mean, real small. In all honesty, this was the first game where I felt like he simply looked bad. Bad decisions and bad throws.

This is a 7-5 team and a trip to the I-have-know-idea-but-it-will-be-before-Christmas bowl. Still looking for an offensive play maker to prove something....

Let's talk about something else...
  • How about those Texas Rangers. What a story, what a series and what a gutsy performance by everyone not named Cliff Lee. Kudos to the Rangers - keep it going....
  • Give me Mizzou by 10
  • Give me Okie State by 3
  • Give me Auburn by 12
  • Not a bad debut for one Colt McCoy in Pittsburgh...not bad at all considering you're in Pittsburgh and you play for Cleveland.
  • Ciara, you make me crazy, but you throw one hell of a fun birthday party for 3-5 year olds. I mean, a great party....but seriously, you make me crazy.
Short and sweet this week guys - big meetings next week and Ella's birthday today so I'll leave you with this thought....

If you're at the grocery store and there's no one sacking your groceries, don't just stand there, start sacking your own groceries you lazy piece of crap. And let me just say - males don't do this. This is 95% a female thing....it's not hard.

On that note, everyone have a great weekend.
